SR_Picnic Basket

With summer right around the corner, we can’t wait for that warm weather.  To us, summer means enjoying the outdoors, and planning fun outdoor activities is one of our favorite things about summer. Today we are sharing a few tips to make your perfect picnic, because summer is the best time to plan a picnic. Whether it’s a park, beach, or backyard picnic, make sure you plan ahead and have all the necessities to make it a great experience.  A picnic basket is key and definitely recommended in order to keep all your foods and drinks organized.  Also, go with plastic dishware and utensils since it weighs less.

Semi-Sweet-Red-Wines_1

We’ve all heard it before, but there’s a reason for clichés and a reason Italians love wine and cheese, because it’s truly the perfect blend! After trying these pairing recommendations, you’ll probably be hearing yourself talking about wine and cheese a lot more, and like a pro. Stella Rosa’s semi-sweet red wines accompany hard or soft cheeses and make for the most delectable afternoon or evening snack. Because of their semi-sweet character and bold fruity flavors, cheese and fruits go great on the side of these wines. We’re going to feature three of our front runner red wines with a hard cheese for you to treat your taste buds with.

Sweet wines compliment many foods and many dishes.  The perfect sweet wine will enhance all the best flavors in your meal so today we are pairing one of our springtime favorites, Stella Berry, with a light and very delicious baked salmon.  Salmon is such a versatile fish, and Stella Rosa has just the right amount of sweetness to balance out the rich and oily layers of the salmon. Our salmon is baked with lemon and Kalamata olives, and then topped with a yogurt, mustard and fresh dill sauce that just melts in your mouth.  We baked the salmon at 350° for 20 minutes, added salt, pepper, fresh seasonings, and lemon slices on top.  While the salmon is baking, we created our tasty sauce over medium heat for 5 minutes.  Then we stirred in some fresh dill and removed the sauce from heat and then transferred the salmon to a serving platter and topped with the creamy sauce.  So simple, yet so delicious!
SR_CAKE Today we are combining two of our favorite things: wine and chocolate into one tasty pairing.  We don’t ever really need a reason to indulge in chocolate, and we believe every day is a great day to enjoy a glass of Stella Rosa, so why not pair those two amazing things together?!
