Certain drinks are a staple in the kitchen and the best ones are those that can be used for a variety of times. Our Stella Rosa Moscato D’Asti is known as The Versatile One, which says it all. This light, effervescent white goes well with all types of foods, fruits, and desserts. It’s the best summertime wine. Moscato D’Asti can go with any summery snacks or light meals and is most refreshing when served ice cold.

With summer right around the corner, we can’t wait for that warm weather.  To us, summer means enjoying the outdoors, and planning fun outdoor activities is one of our favorite things about summer. Today we are sharing a few tips to make your perfect picnic, because summer is the best time to plan a picnic. Whether it’s a park, beach, or backyard picnic, make sure you plan ahead and have all the necessities to make it a great experience.  A picnic basket is key and definitely recommended in order to keep all your foods and drinks organized.  Also, go with plastic dishware and utensils since it weighs less.

Semi-Sweet-Red-Wines_1

We’ve all heard it before, but there’s a reason for clichés and a reason Italians love wine and cheese, because it’s truly the perfect blend! After trying these pairing recommendations, you’ll probably be hearing yourself talking about wine and cheese a lot more, and like a pro. Stella Rosa’s semi-sweet red wines accompany hard or soft cheeses and make for the most delectable afternoon or evening snack. Because of their semi-sweet character and bold fruity flavors, cheese and fruits go great on the side of these wines. We’re going to feature three of our front runner red wines with a hard cheese for you to treat your taste buds with.

Sweet wines compliment many foods and many dishes.  The perfect sweet wine will enhance all the best flavors in your meal so today we are pairing one of our springtime favorites, Stella Berry, with a light and very delicious baked salmon.  Salmon is such a versatile fish, and Stella Rosa has just the right amount of sweetness to balance out the rich and oily layers of the salmon. Our salmon is baked with lemon and Kalamata olives, and then topped with a yogurt, mustard and fresh dill sauce that just melts in your mouth.  We baked the salmon at 350° for 20 minutes, added salt, pepper, fresh seasonings, and lemon slices on top.  While the salmon is baking, we created our tasty sauce over medium heat for 5 minutes.  Then we stirred in some fresh dill and removed the sauce from heat and then transferred the salmon to a serving platter and topped with the creamy sauce.  So simple, yet so delicious!

If you haven’t heard of Moscato, it’d be as unfortunate as not hearing that Snoop Dogg jam. Moscato wine is divine and that’s not a cliché. They’re bubbly, semi-sweet, fruity flavored and are so beautiful to look at, it’s true! Most of us are used to popping the champagne for special evenings but it’s always nice to know about who’s new and different on the scene. Our 5-member band is rocking when it comes to pleasing the crowd. You’ll get all the points for presentation and for satisfaction. Not only will you be basking in compliments, you and your guests will be basking in the company of summer peach, apricot, wild flowers, orange blossom, bosc pear, and that’s just to name a few.

Not all of us are crafty or even want to be, so DIY isn’t our thang but if it means the difference between saving your furniture or having to buy a new couch…well you’ll want to arm yourself with these handy DIY tips. It’s the curse of the white fabric. After many unpleasant experiences of walking around half the day sporting unwanted sweet red wine stains and asking people for Tide pens, I’ve concluded white is a magnet for stains. Sadly, it’s not just limited to shirts either; we must be cautioned around all white fabrics. The latest victim, my friend’s brand new pristine white linen couch, yikes is right. Nothing puts a halt on the red wine and dining fun like a spilt drink.
