Take Your Best Guess

  • -

It takes part math skills and part luck to play this Stella Rosa and Bodega Sangria guessing game, one that is easy to assemble and have ready for a friendly contest between friends at a party. You only need 2 clear jars or bowls and a plentiful supply of Stella Rosa wine corks and Bodega Sangria twist off caps. A better way to put it: you need to have and open copious amounts of these wines bottles and because you cannot let that wine go to waste, you’ll just want to put them in ice so they’re chilled when you and your party guests are ready to start drinking!

1. Collect and count the number of Stella Rosa wine corks you have.
2. Write this number down on a piece of scotch tape and tape it to the bottom of a jar or bowl.
3. Repeat this process for the Bodega Sangria caps.
4. Have your friends guess how many corks and caps are in each jar.
5. The person who guesses correctly or closest to the actual number wins!

Stella Rosa and Bodega Sangria wines can be purchased at local retailers and from San Antonio Winery in-store and online so stock up! Don’t forget to hashtag your photos with #StellaRosa and #BodegaSangria. Have fun!

The Aluminum King Pin

  • -

Who knew bowling pins could be made of wine? We’re pulling out all the stops and delivering a strike that’s sure to be a knock out with your party guests. Stella Rosa products often have more than one purpose and the aluminum bottles are no exception. First you drink, then you bowl!

Take your Stella Rosa Aluminums and pour the wine into glasses and serving pitchers. Refill the aluminums with water or sand and set them up on one end of the lawn or a bench in a triangle. Grab your bowling ball of choice (we recommend rubber kick balls) and head to the other end of your makeshift bowling lane. The aluminum pins are shatterproof so go ahead and wail your bowling ball down the lane to knock over as many aluminums as possible!

Don’t miss out on an easy way to entertain your friends this summer and to have an excuse to drink your favorite wine. Stella Rosa backyard bowling can only be found where real fans reside and we want to hear about your DIY game day.

Find Stella Rosa products at local retailers, San Antonio Winery in-store and online. Spare us the suspense and shoot over some pictures of your backyard fun with #Stellabrate and #StellaRosa on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter.

Welcome to the Backyard Carnival!

  • -

Sun’s out, fun’s out! That’s a call for you to tidy up the backyard, break out the pool toys, and fire up the grill because your friends are on their way over! Switch up your next backyard party by setting up a bunch of carnival games for your friends to play and compete for prizes. These games can go on all day long in between the usual barbecuing and pool playing.

You don’t need an elaborate, expensive set up for the games and in fact, you can DIY them all on your own with your empty Stella Rosa and Bodega Sangria wine bottles! Chances are you or your guests have the other equipment to use and if not, they’re neither expensive nor hard to find at a store near you.

Games like ring toss and lawn bowling are always a draw. We recommend using standard-sized wine bottles (750ml) for ring toss but for bowling, go with Stella Rosa Aluminums.

Equally exciting is the aim and fire type of game where players use water guns to aim and fire away at ping-pong balls that are sitting on top of Stella Rosa Minis.

Set up a guessing booth off to the side of a table where your friends can guess how many corks are sitting inside of a jar, just by looking at it.

As far as food goes, keep the grill hot with the usual burgers, dogs, and veggies. Put out a variety of fresh fruits for friends to snack on and add to their drink of choice (Stella Rosa or Bodega Sangria, which you can purchase at your local store or from San Antonio Winery), and offer extra carnival-approved treats like popcorn to pair with your Stella Rosa, wine ice cream, and cotton candy!

There is so much fun to be had at a backyard party like this, you’ll see! Make sure we, Stella Rosa, see it too by using #StellaRosa and #Stellabrate on your Instagram photos!

Aim, Steady, and Fire!

  • -

Put your aim and speed to the test by setting up and playing this Aim, Steady & Fire game! Challenge your friends and see who can finish first; the winner will win the prize. This is a game made for summertime backyard parties, and make sure everyone knows to wear clothes they don’t mind getting a little wet because later in the day, you guys can just have a free-for-all water gun fight.

Things you will need:
Stella Rosa Minis (for the game, it doesn’t matter what flavor you get, but FYI they come in Rosso, Moscato, Peach, Pink, and Black)
• ping pong balls
• Water guns

Game rules:
• Pour wine into serving glasses for your guests to sip on.
• Weigh the Stella Rosa bottles down a little bit by filling it with water, rocks, sand, etc.
• Arrange the bottles in a line on the table.
• Place a ping-pong ball on top of each bottle.
• Standing a distance away from the table, players will use the water gun to try and knock the ping-pong balls off of each bottle.

To change up the game and difficulty, you can make different arrangements of the bottles on the table, extend the shooting distance, and set time limits. Having fun has never been easier!

You can get the Stella Rosa Minis at your local retailer or at San Antonio Winery in-store. When the games are on, be sure to share the fun with us on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter by using #StellaRosa and #Stellabrate.

Ring Toss, Wine Style

  • -

Time to test those wrists with some tossing action. Set up a game of ring toss while tossing back some wine for an entertaining afternoon in the backyard. It doesn’t take much time or items to create hours of gaming and the best part? Stella Rosa comes in a variety of flavors so you can have a really colorful set up, as well as a great spread for your drinking friends.

What you need:
Stella Rosa (any flavors) and Bodega Sangria 750ml bottles
• Rings
• Wooden crate (optional)

Game set-up:
• Arrange wine bottles either in a crate or on a sturdy base
• After 3 rings make it onto 1 bottle, remove that bottle
• To increase the challenge, increase the distance between the ring tosser and the targets
• Create teams with color coordinated rings for some real competition

It’s easy to find cheap rings to purchase, or you can keep this purely DIY by gluing the ends of cut jute rope together. When it starts to get dark, break out glow in the dark sticks to use as rings instead.

It’s equally as easy to get Stella Rosa and Bodega Sangria for this game because they’re available at many of your local retailers as well as at San Antonio Winery in-store and online.

We’d love to see what colorful action you get into, so snap some pics and share them with us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter and use #StellaRosa and #Stellabrate in your captions.

Summer is officially here and there are a few things we won’t be living without – going outside and getting some sun, spending time with friends, picnicking, and of course, drinking Stella Rosa wines. Note: Stella Minis and Aluminums fit perfectly into a picnic basket and are great for outdoor entertainment!

Bites –
It’s important to pack picnic foods that travel well and aren’t too much fuss. Bite sized sandwiches, fresh fruit, easy green salads, cheese and charcuterie are tasty options.

Location –
Picnics are easy because you can have one practically anywhere. Think backyards, parks, beaches – all make great picnic spots. Just keep in mind to pack accordingly depending on the spot you select, i.e. some places don’t allow glassware so going with our Aluminum bottles is best.

Gear –
You can’t possibly have a picnic without a basket, well technically you can, but why would you want to? Make sure you pack light if you plan to hike to your destination spot. Pack enough blankets if you’ll be sitting on the grass or if you get chilly. You’ll also want to pack reusable/ disposable dishware and utensils; bring containers to store your food and for leftovers. Don’t forget the music – make a playlist ahead of time and take portable speakers to enjoy your favorite tunes. Additional activities like card games, cornhole, football, volleyball etc. can also be a lot of fun.

That’s it! That’s all you need to pack for the perfect outdoor picnic! Share your summer picnic essentials with us on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter and use #StellaRosa for a chance to be featured!

Stellabrate National Candy Month with Stella Rosa Candy!

  • -

Hope you don’t have a dentist appointment anytime soon because June is National Candy Month! It’s like Halloween but instead of 1 night of sweets, you get 30 full days! This month, rather than just aimlessly feeding your sweet tooth with store-bought, pre-wrapped goodies, challenge yourself to make your own candies from scratch. If you need another boost of inspiration, choose recipes that will leave you with Stella Rosa wine-infused confectionery. Not that you need reminding, but Stella Rosa makes everything better.

Here are just a handful of ways to Stellabrate National Candy Month to get you started! Download all the recipes mentioned below, here:

Start the month with some Stella Rosa Black Lollipops. Tell us, how many licks does it take for you to get to the center?

Next, try your hand at making red wine truffles with Stella Rosa Red or Rosso. There is no secret to making a good truffle – they’re actually much easier to make than most people think!

Pick up some gummy bear molds (or any other shape molds) so you can create a beautiful assortment of Champagne gummies! Our favorite sparkling wines to use here are the Stella Rosa Imperiale Moscato Rose, Brachetto, and Prosecco, but you’ll still need just a little bit of food coloring to get the right color.

If you’re having a small get together (or just a night to treat yourself) and would like to offer Stella Rosa and chocolate pairing options, go for it! You have our recommendations, but you’re still encouraged to try your own pairings too.

You’re going to need something to wash all this candy down, and what’s a better choice of drink than a Stella Rosa-based libation? Call it the Stella Rosa Cotton Candy cocktail.

Tell us what you think and share your own Stella Rosa-infused candies and pairings! Vibe with us on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook, and hashtag your photos with #StellaRosa and #Stellabrate for a chance to be featured.

DIY Time: Drink Wine, Give Your Succulents A Home

  • -

Stella Rosa is trendy, succulents are trendy, and DIY crafts are trendy. So, here’s a fun idea: how about repurposing your wine corks to create mini planters for succulents? They’re simply adorable, not to mention easy to put together. Plus, it gives you extra reason (not that you need one) to finish off another bottle of Stella Rosa – you need the cork!

Materials:
• Wine corks
• Kitchen paring knife or pocket knife
• Magnets
• Hot glue gun
• Soil
• Succulents

Let’s get crafty:
1. Drink Stella Rosa wine and collect the corks.
2. Lay out a piece of paper, cardboard, or towel to work over. This makes the cleanup process much easier and faster.
3. Use a kitchen paring knife or a pocket knife to carve out a hole in the cork. Do this by turning the knife in a circular motion. The hole should go about halfway down the cork.
4. Glue magnets to the corks.
5. Fill corks with soil.
6. Add succulent plants. Add a little more soil and pack it down.
7. Drizzle with a little bit of water.

That’s it! Now you’re free to put your new wine cork succulents onto the fridge, or wherever you had in mind, though most ideal locations would be near a window so it gets some natural light. Then sprinkle or spritz it with some water 1-2 times per week. They’re extremely low maintenance!

If you’re going to forge ahead with this DIY project (and we hope you do), keep us in-the-know on social media by following us on Instagram and Twitter and using #StellaRosa and #Stellabrate on your photos.
